Event Overview

Step into the ultimate test of fitness, marksmanship, and tactical skill at High Lakes Shooting Range Tactical Athlete Competition. This full-day event challenges athletes to perform under pressure, combining strength, endurance, and precision shooting across four progressive stages — each more demanding than the last.

Designed for both seasoned shooters and those new to tactical fitness, the competition emphasizes adaptability, discipline, and grit in a controlled, professional environment.

Competition Structure

  • 4 Stages — Each stage builds in intensity, complexity, and physical demand.

  • Focus Areas: Functional fitness, weapons handling, accuracy under stress, and time management.

  • Scoring: Based on accuracy, completion time, and adherence to safety and performance standards.

Categories

Competitors will register under one of three divisions based on experience and skill level:

  • Private (Beginner): For athletes new to tactical competitions or competitive shooting.

  • Ranger (Advanced): For those with moderate experience in fitness-shooting events or tactical training.

  • Delta (Elite): For top-tier athletes with extensive tactical, law enforcement, or military experience.

Gear Requirements

Athletes are required to bring:

  • 300 rounds for both 600 total (pistol and rifle combined)

  • Rifle and pistol platforms of choice

  • 20 lb weighted vest

  • Gun belt with appropriate holsters and magazine pouches

  • Eye protection and ear protection (mandatory)

Additional gear details, safety briefings, and event-specific instructions will be sent directly to each registered athlete via email prior to the event.

*Tier 1 Tactical Training team will reach out upon successful registration and identify which division you would like to compete in.
